"My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed."
— Psalms 71:23
St. John's sponsors a wide variety of musical groups and programs through which we shape and celebrate our Christian witness. Our worship style is best described as blended — incorporating music from different eras and styles, from ancient hymnody to contemporary praise.
We hold fast to the four-part, age-old form of Lutheran worship:
Each year St. John's hosts Music in the Mountains — a beloved tradition bringing together choir singers from the area to sing new music available for choirs from some of the top publishers. It concludes with the beautiful SONGFEST concert open to the whole community.
The Adult Choir is the musical heart of Sunday worship at St. John's. Every week, our singers gather to prepare music that lifts the congregation into deeper prayer and praise — from classic Lutheran hymnody to contemporary anthems.
No audition is required. Whether you are a lifelong singer or haven't sung in years, you are welcome in the choir loft. Come and add your voice to ours.
Each track opens the Facebook video in a new tab. Click any hymn to select it, then press play.
Whether you want to sing in the choir, play an instrument, or explore other ways to serve through music at St. John's, we'd love to hear from you.
Fill in the form and our Music Director will be in touch. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and the choir sings every Sunday at 10:30 AM worship.
* Required. Your message goes directly to our Music Director.
